Configure Clover Bootloader
You now must download Clover Configurator – a piece of software that will allow you to easily configure your Clover Bootloader. You can download it here: http://mackie100projects.altervista.org/download-clover-configurator/.
Using the configurator, open /YOURUSBDRIVE/EFI/CLOVERconfig.plist.
The first thing you should do is uncheck every item in the ‘Fixes’ section under both the Old Way and New One. Make sure all boxes are unchecked as follows.
With all boxes unchecked in the ‘Fixes’ section, now head into the Boot configuration – this is the second option down on the left-hand menu.
You should uncheck rootless=0 and kext-dev-mode=1 as these options are intended for older versions of OS X.
If you are running a Nvidia GPU you should select ‘nv_disable=1’. If you do not do this, your installation will freeze with a black screen.
Finally, head into the SMBIOS configuration which is the second to last option on the left-hand menu. Next, click the wand icon on the right hand side and proceed to choose the picture of the Macbook Pro on the far right (the black bin).
Next, select ‘Mac Pro 3,1’ using the dropdown menu on the top left and then click the ‘shake buttons’ a few times to generate random system details. Press okay to exit the SMBIOS generator.
Notice: The Mac Pro (3,1) SMBIOS is a good all-round profile for your Hackintosh as it has been proven to work with a large variety of system configurations. You may wish to experiment with different SMBIOS profiles. For example, I have seen success as Skylake user using the 2015 iMac profiles.
You have now completed the Clover configuration. You should press FILE > SAVE to save your configuration onto the USB.
